The roar of the “Crowd”
There I was staring up at the blue sky, lying on my back not knowing where I was and what had just happened. Was I dead. It sure felt like it. The pain kicked in yet it was oddly satisfying gasping for air. I felt like I got hit by a buffalo, my head felt as if it wasn’t on my body. The blood rushed everywhere in my body and my energy flowed within me. Underneath all the excitement there was pain gripping my chest. It felt as the Angel Of Death has caught up to me and my time on this earth was no more. Now you might be wondering what is going on and how I got into this situation. Honestly I’m just as lost as you, but here’s what caused the best worst day of the life of G-Hermoooooo.
They let out a whole bunch of 3rd graders for recess and you have the typical groups. The nerds, who go and talk about pokemon and card games and stuff, the typical rude kids who go around and pick fights, and the physco kids who run around the entire play ground. Then there’s G-Hermo who didn’t fit into any of the categories and was cool with anyone that seemed like a good person. So there I was standing around doing the usual G-Hermo stuff when I heard my name being shouted out, I didn’t turn as I thought it was a typical fan who wanted my autograph but the screaming continued.
“Man who’s calling me” I wondered as. I turned around and saw my good friend Khalid waving at me. Khalid was one of the people I considered my brother. He was a little chubby kid but one of the coolest people you could hangout with. Me and him use to trade games like drugs and when you and someone would sneak games into school and do handoffs in the bathroom then you would just instantly bond and become brothers. Anyways back to the story. Khalid wanted me to come join him and his group of friends in a game of football. I stood there looking at him like he had lost his mind.
“Man what the heck is football”? I wondered as I made my way to the field. When I got there i asked Khalid what was football. Homie looked at me like I thought ten plus ten equals tenty ten.
“Man you don’t know what football is? It’s the funnest sport you can play.” yelled Khalid hopping up and down with excitement. To see this guy getting really excited from telling me how fun a game was caught my attention so I decided to give it a try
“Ok I’ll play let’s see what all this excitement is all about.” i said as i strutted onto the field. That’s when i remembered i don’t know how to play. I quickly ran and asked my teammates what am i supposed to. “You just run and I throw you the ball and you have to run all the way to the other side to score.” I was instructed. I walked on to the line of scrimmage wondering what was so exciting about running the ball to other side of the field.
The ball was snapped and I ran for about two yards and decided to slant to right. I made eye contact with the quarterback and he threw me a nice pass. What I didn’t know was that this was a physical sport. I caught the ball and I started running towards our endzone. But that’s when a powerful force slammed me into the earth. I felt my back snap and I laid on the floor gasping for air wondering how I ended up here. I thought It was all over. I came to play a sport not get body slammed and injured. I didn’t know this was part of the game and I felt myself slipping, “HOW DARE HE PUSH ME THE LEGENDARY G-HERMO TO THE GROUND?” I roared. I felt power surge within me as I burned with rage. My power was rising, overflowing, I felt invincible. I flew at my attacker like a falcon ready to strike. An epic battle was about to begin my attacker tried to escape by running but I was already on him “ STRUGGLE ALL YOU WANT IN THE END YOU’LL STILL DIE. I growled ready to destroy this pathetic human scum. That’s when khalid and his peers intervened with my plan for destruction
“”YOOOOO, CHILL OUT BROOOO” Khalid yelled, pulling me off my victim.
“Chill out? CHILL OUT? YOU’RE TELLING ME TO CHILL OUT EVEN THOUGH HE UNEXPECTEDLY HIT ME?” I shouted. “ Dude it’s part of the game, this is a physical sport and knocking people down is part of the game” Khalid explained. I stood there looking confused wondering why no one told me that before I transformed into a Super Saiyan.
They let me go and the kid brushed past me muttering under his breath. I had to restrain myself internally knowing that I was G-Hermo and I would always get the last word. The game soon resumed and nobody was scoring. Everyone on both teams weren’t very good and were dropping balls left and right. I wasn’t getting the ball at all because this was my first game and Khalid and Ali were both playing like it was the NFL super bowl champion. Soon we had only a couple of minutes before we would have to go back inside to class. I walked up to Khalid, looked him in the eyes and said “throw me the ball”. It was finally time for Ghermo to extract his revenge against his attacker. The kid lined up in front of me with a goofy grin on his face. That grin was making me very enraged and I couldn’t wait to smack it right off his face.
The play began and I raced up the field. After 5 steps I cut inside and Khalid threw the ball. I caught it and started running up the field. I realized that my plan was working to perfection as there was only one kid in my way. Just as I was about to get tackled I put my plan into action. I stretched my hand out and pushed the kids slimy, arrogant, disgusting face until he fell to the floor. With no direct opponent left in my way I ran into the end zone and scored. I scored my first touchdown ever. My team ran up to me cheering calling me Marshawn Lynch. Khalid walks to me laughing saying I did the kid dirty and how I didn’t have to make him fall. I responded by crossing my arms and laughing at the fool on the ground I felt excited like I made the winning touchdown at the super bowl. I felt like I can do anything, the world was mine for the taking and there is no way I’m giving it up so easily.
